Coors Light was introduced by the Coors Brewing Company in 1978 as a response to the nation's growing interest in fitness and nutrition. It has since become the top selling beer of the brand and the third top selling beer in the United States. It coined the nickname "Silver Bullet"

Heather Johnson started writing health, fitness and nutrition articles for LIVESTRONG.COM in 2011. She has volunteered in physical therapy clinics and completed field studies assessing the fitness and nutrition levels of children at local elementary schools. Johnson also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in health fitness with a minor in nutrition from Central Michigan University.
