It also allows you to make a fix-and-forget dessert via the same technique that allows you to prepare roasts and stews with little muss and fuss. Crock-Pot brownies feature a gooey center, similar to chocolate lava cake, and a crunchy crust. Spooned into a pretty bowl and topped with a scoop of ice cream, Crock-Pot brownies are an elegant and tasty dessert.

Step 1

Spray the inside of a slow cooker with cooking-oil-and-flour spray. Place the slow cooker upside down on paper towels for 5 minutes to drain off any excess oil.

Step 2

Cut a piece of parchment paper with scissors to fit the bottom of the cooker. Press the parchment paper in place over the oil with your fingers.

Step 3

Mix together the brownie mix or ingredients in a bowl. Spoon the mixture into the slow cooker and put the lid on.

Step 4

Set the slow cooker's temperature to low and allow the brownies to cook for 3 hours. Transfer the cooked brownie mixture into bowls with a large serving spoon.

Tip

Check several times during the cooking process to make sure the brownies are not overcooked.

warning

Do not cook the Crock-Pot brownies on high; the cooking process requires slow heat.
