The package includes meal replacement shakes, supplements, snacks, program guide, measuring tape and a CD explaining the importance of cleansing. It retails for at $174 as of December 2010. Consumer Reports states that most dietary supplements aren't regulated, so it's important to exercise caution when using them. KVS12 Heartland News further reports that long-term affects of the Isagenix program aren't clear.

Step 1

Complete the pre-cleansing phase for two days to prepare your body for the 9-day cleanse ahead. Take 1 to 2 oz. of "Ionix Supreme" supplement. Replace two of your meals with an "IsaLean" shake or soup preferably breakfast and dinner. Have a healthy, high fiber, low fat lunch that's approximately between 400 to 600 calories like chicken breast, with vegetables and a salad.

Step 2

Drink 4 oz. of the dietary supplement "Cleanse for Life" four times a day on your "Cleanse days" these are Day 1 and Day 2 of the program. Alternatively combine 4 oz. of "Cleanse for Life" with 8 oz. of purified water and drink.

Step 3

Eat up to six Isagenix snacks throughout the day on your "Cleanse Days." These will help you feel full throughout the day, control your blood sugar and cravings.

Step 4

Replace breakfast and dinner on Day's 3 to 7 with "IsaLean" shakes and soup. Mix two scoops of the "IsaLean" soup or shake powder with 8 oz. of water then blend with ice. Have a healthy lunch that contains around 400 to 600 calories, like turkey breast with broccoli and salad.

Step 5

Continue having up to six Isagenix snacks on Day's 3 to 7 of your 9-day cleanse.

Step 6

Take a "Natural Accelerator" capsule twice a day during the cleanse. Take one capsule in the morning and the other in the afternoon.

Step 7

Exercise for at least 20 minutes daily. Burn calories by aiming for cardiovascular activities like swimming, hiking, cycling and jogging. Try to exercise within your target heart rate zone (see Resources).

Step 8

Drink plenty of water throughout the 9-day cleanse particularly during your "Cleanse Days" and when exercising. Aim for approximately 100 oz. According to Cleanse Trim, water will help dilute impurities as they are removed from your body and prevent constipation.

Step 9

Complete two more "Cleanse Days" on Day 8 and Day 9 by repeating Steps 2 and 3.
