1. Tom Cruise’s Couch Jumping

Thirteen years ago, Tom Cruise was so smitten with then-girlfriend Katie Holmes, his jump for joy on Oprah's couch was the bounce seen around the world. When Oprah asked what happened to him, the man could barely contain himself. "I'm in love," he said, playing to a madly cheering audience. After more theatrics, Holmes was coaxed out of the green room backstage by Cruise, sealing their fresh union on the soundstage with a kiss. The relationship may not have lasted, but the cultural reference sure did.

2. Tom Hiddleston Hearts T.S.

Who could forget when handsome Brit Tom Hiddleston was photographed emerging from a Rhode Island beach during one of girlfriend Taylor Swift's epic Fourth of July parties wearing a tank top that read "I Heart T.S."? He later told GQ the whole thing was "a joke." "The truth is, it was the Fourth of July and a public holiday, and we were playing a game and I slipped and hurt my back," he said. "And I wanted to protect the graze from the sun and said, 'Does anyone have a T-shirt?' And one of her friends said, 'I've got this….' And we all laughed about it."

3. John Legend’s Love Song

There are few gestures more romantic than writing a song. Legend's colossal hit "All of Me" was written for his wife, Chrissy Teigen. According to L.A. Confidential, he was so moved by his feelings for her that he had to set them to music. "The more you know someone, the more you're inspired by your relationship," he said. "I had never really been in love before. I guess you have to grow enough to be able to write that song with sincerity and authenticity." Now expecting their second child, a boy, to join their daughter, Luna, it seems their union inspired a lot more than music!

4. Angelina and Billy Bob’s Blood Lockets

Once upon a time, a man met a woman on a movie set and they fell for each other fast and hard — so hard they took to wearing vials of each other's blood around their necks. Thornton explained the infamous necklaces to the Hollywood Reporter: "We were apart a lot because she's off making 'Tomb Raider' and I'm making 'Monster's Ball.' She thought it would be interesting and romantic if we took a little razor blade and sliced our fingers, smeared a little blood on these lockets and you wear it around your neck just like you wear your son or daughter's baby hair in one." Though they're now long divorced, they're still friends, Thornton told GQ. And though he's now married to someone else, he still proudly wears his tattoos of her name.

5. Beyonce and Jay-Z’s Reconciliation Albums

What better way for two recording artists to proclaim their devotion to each other than to write entire albums about saving their marriage? Bey's "Lemonade" record was a soul-wrenching account of her rapper husband's infidelity and it's resulting fallout. Jay-Z all but acknowledged that infidelity on "4:44," his latest album. In an interview with T magazine, he said they both used their art as a very public "therapy session." "The best place is right in the middle of the pain. And that's where we were sitting. And it was uncomfortable," he said. "And, you know, at the end of the day we really have a healthy respect for one another's craft. I think she's amazing." Which means we'll likely have more albums from both of them to look forward to.

7. Kanye Puts On a Show for Kim

When it comes to professing his love for wife Kim Kardashian, Kanye West is no stranger to the grand gesture. West has joked that he put on his entire debut fashion show just to get a date with her. And Kardashian said it was instant love. "I swear, from the moment I landed, I fell madly in love with him, and I thought, 'Oh my God, why didn't I do this sooner?'" she said on an episode of "Keeping Up With the Kardashians."

But West was publicly ardent for quite some time prior. Reportedly, poems he wrote for her before they started dating were incorporated into the lyrics for "Lost in the World," a song released nearly three years before the two officially began dating. And let's not forget how he rented out an entire baseball park to propose to her. Now expecting their third child, it seems West's persistence paid off!

8. Paris Hilton’s Giant Rock

Paris Hilton got engaged to actor Chris Zylka, and it's the rock no one can stop talking about. According to Page Six, Zylka — who has a net worth of about $4 million — proposed to Hilton with a teardrop stunner worth about $2 million. Hilton, who is said to be worth around $300 million, comes from hotel royalty, while Zylka is said to have grown up poor. Guess you can't put a price on happiness!
