Vitamin E Oil and Aloe Vera Gel

Step 1

Combine even amounts of vitamin E oil and aloe vera gel in a small container with a tight-fitting top.

Step 2

Whisk the vitamin E oil and aloe vera gel together for 15 to 20 seconds, or until a moderately thin paste is formed.

Step 3

Apply a thin layer of the mixture to the scarred area of skin with your fingertips.

Step 4

Leave the mixture on your skin overnight. Avoid putting clothing or material on the area until the mixture has dried.

Step 5

Apply this mixture twice per day in the morning or evening. Stop using the mixture if it causes any type of reaction.

Step 6

Store unused portions of the mixture in a cool, dark place for 14 days before throwing it away.

Shea Butter and Fresh Lemon Juice

Combine 8 tbsp. shea butter and 4 tbsp. fresh lemon juice in a small container.

Step 2

Beat the mixture together with a whisk or wooden spoon until it has a fairly thick consistency, and the ingredients are thoroughly combined.

Step 3

Apply a thin layer of the mixture to your skin, and leave it on overnight. Avoid putting on clothing for one hour as the mixture dries.

Step 4

Use this treatment only once per day in the evening. Stop using the mixture if it causes redness, itching, burning or dry skin.

Step 5

Keep unused portions of the essential oil mixture in the refrigerator for one week. Discard it after that time.

Tip

Avoid exposure to the sun for two to three hours after applying the shea butter and lemon juice treatment to your skin. Exposure to ultraviolet light can cause irritation when citrus juice has been applied to the skin.

warning

Test a small amount of the mixture being applied to the crook of your elbow to check for allergies before applying it to a large, more visible area of skin.
