Wrinkles are one of the biggest complaints of the aging process. Modern technological advancements provide numerous treatments such lasers, dermabrasion and surgical procedures. These treatments are effective--but they are also expensive and time consuming. Try using home remedies to reverse those wrinkles naturally. Remember that the effectiveness of home remedies may not be supported by clinical research.

Step 1

Moisturize your skin with olive, vitamin E or coconut oil daily. When your skin is parched, it can lead to more wrinkling. Natural skin moisturizers can prevent this from occuring. Just dab a little oil of your choice on a cotton ball and apply to affected areas. Let fully dry for 10 to 15 minutes then rinse off with warm water.

Step 2

Change your sleep position to naturally reverse wrinkles. You may not have thought about this, but fine lines can become etched into your skin after years of sleeping on your side. According to the American Academy of Dermatology, you can sleep on your back to prevent this type of wrinkling.

Step 3

Stop smoking to see a reversal in skin wrinkles. Smoking is one of the main culprits for premature lines and wrinkles because nicotine constricts your blood vessels, which hampers the ability of essential nutrients to reach your skin's surface, therefore causing dryness. Try to avoid second hand smoke as this can have similar, if not worse, effects on your skin.

Step 4

Stay out of the sun. Overexposure to UVA and UVB rays is another primary cause for wrinkles. If you cannot avoid the sun altogether, put on sunscreen. Also, wear protective clothing and hats so the sun is not directly on your skin.

Step 5

Exfoliate facial skin at least once a week. Exfoliating sloughs away top layers of skin, helping you naturally reveal more youthful skin underneath. Use a scrub that contains hydroxy acids as these are extracted from fruit sugars. This type of acidic scrub promotes newer skin growth.

Step 6

Relax your facial expression. The more you frown, glare, grin, raise your eyebrows or squint, the more likely you are to develop permanent lines in your skin. Be aware of what kind of faces you make and practice relaxing your facial muscles.
