This Adorable Therapy Pig Will Make You Want to Travel

 by Bryce Christian

Lilou the therapy pig has touched down at San Francisco International Airport to help soothe passengers' travel anxiety.

Long lines. Frantic people. TSA. Limited food options. Airport travel can be a one-way ticket to Anxiety City for most people. But this holiday season San Francisco International Airport (SFO) is taking strides to soothe passengers' nerves by unleashing a secret weapon.

Meet LiLou, the therapy pig.

LiLou arrived to her first day on the job sporting a blue tutu and a pilot's hat. Her adorable, anxiety-soothing duties included twirling, sitting, "doing the wave" and, of course, bringing happiness and joy to weary travelers. Is there really anything better for diffusing the stress and frustration of an airport delay than a pig in a tutu? We don't think so.

LiLou is the newest addition (and only pig) to the Wag Brigade (aka the cutest task force ever). Comprised of adorable dogs trained by the San Francisco SPCA, the support group was established in 2013 with the aim "to make passenger travel more enjoyable," according to the Wag Brigade's webpage.

Needless to say, LiLou was a hit with travelers.

We certainly hope this is the start of a new trend for all airports. In case you don't have any therapy animals at your nearest airport, ease your anxiety by avoiding these foods and trying a few natural remedies.
