Love may be blind, but you don’t have to be blind to see the signs of infidelity. Love may be blind, but you don't have to be blind to see the signs of infidelity. Even though approximately 30 to 60 percent of men cheat on their spouses, according to the Huffington Post in the article, "Cheating Signs: 3 Ways to Identify a Cheater," you can't accuse your partner on the basis of statistics alone. Ignoring your suspicions, however, in the face of nagging doubts can produce additional anger and anxiety, so learn how to recognize some of the signs of infidelity in men.

That Was Just My Boss Calling

If you see your partner suddenly looking nervous or being secretive related to his cell phone and computer communications, these may be red flags that he has a reason to be anxious. Maybe he methodically now hides his cell phone when it used to sit on your coffee table. Or, he startles when the cell phone rings. Don't ignore these changes in your partner's cell phone and computer usage, recommends counselor Elly Prior, for Professional-Counselling in "Signs of Infidelity."

Is That a New Cologne?

Take a trip down memory lane, and remember how he dressed when he first set out to win your heart. Ask yourself if he looks and smells much nicer now. It's normal during the progression of a relationship for partners to become more relaxed as their comfort level increases. However, if your partner has suddenly swapped his ragged jeans for tailored dress slacks and doffed his favorite T-shirt for a crisp, new dress shirt and an expensive silk tie, consider these to be red flags, writes Prior.

He Has Another Headache

Any significant changes in the how he behaves in the bedroom are signals that something is brewing, whether the problem is infidelity or something different, so don't ignore it, writes Rich Santos in Marie Claire's, "Nine Signs He's Cheating." For example, some men show diminished sexual appetite when their sexual needs are fulfilled with someone else, and this change in behavior may represent one of the first signs of a man's infidelity.

Silence Isn't Golden

Men who cheat find it challenging to remain emotionally engaged to their partner, because their emotional energy is invested elsewhere, according to Santos. For example, you notice that he never tells you how much he loves you, he rarely laughs and doesn't engage in playful conversation, as he did before. And although these indicators of an emotional disconnection aren't necessarily validation that your partner is cheating, they are signs of serious problems in your relationship.
