Pizza dough is the key element of a homemade pizza. Preparing your pizza dough beforehand saves the bulk of time you'd ordinarily spend when making your pizza. Make enough dough for as many pizzas as desired without worrying about it going to waste. Store your pizza dough in the refrigerator if you plan to use it within a few days. Otherwise, store it in the freezer and use over the course of a few months.

Step 1

Take a ball of pizza dough and roll oil over it.

Step 2

Place the ball of pizza dough into a plastic bag or freezer bag depending on whether you plan to store it in the refrigerator or freezer.

Step 3

Label the bag with the date and "pizza dough."

Step 4

Place the plastic bag with the pizza dough in it in the refrigerator. It will keep for about 3 to 5 days; or, store your pizza dough in the freezer for up to 3 months.

Tip

Thaw your pizza dough by placing it in the refrigerator for 24 hours.
