LIVESTRONG.COM's annual list of the worst coffee drinks takes a look at the amount of calories per ounce in a drink. This year, The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf makes the list with its Ice Blended drinks. Surprisingly, the most caloric drink at Starbucks is not its famously fattening Frappucino but rather its White Chocolate Mocha served hot. Read on to see what the 12 worst drinks are.

12. Starbucks White Chocolate Mocha

One of the few drinks on this list that's served hot, the White Chocolate Mocha should really only be ordered on special occasions. This is no regular morning pick-me-up. A tall size at 12 ounces contains 340 calories, according to the Starbucks website. It has an impressive 28 calories per ounce — and that's using 2-percent milk.

11. Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf Ice Blended Caramel Flavor

Maxing out at 32 calories per ounce, the Ice Blended Caramel drink at The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf is its highest calorie offering. A 24-ounce drink contains 770 calories, including 135 calories from fat and 85 grams of sugar. A better choice (though still not ideal) is the Ice Blended Mocha at 580 calories for 24 ounces.

10. Arby’s Jamocha Shake

Seeming more like a milkshake than a cup of joe, the 22-ounce Large Jamocha Shake contains 750 calories (34 per ounce) — 200 of them from fat — 22 grams of fat and 112 grams of sugar. The good news? By ordering a small, you'll save 380 calories and 59 grams of sugar.

9. Panera Bread Frozen Caramel

Those with a sweet tooth may want to think twice before ordering the 16-ounce Frozen Caramel. The reason? Containing 560 calories (35 per ounce), 23 grams of fat and 69 grams of sugar, it's Panera's most caloric coffee drink, and though it doesn't sound like java, it does contain 100-percent Arabica coffee extract.

8. Au Bon Pain Frozen Caramel Latte

You may feel virtuous as you bypass the croissants and cakes and head directly to the coffee counter. But if you opt for a 16-ounce Frozen Caramel Latte at Au Bon Pain, it will set you back 600 calories (37.5 per ounce), 20 grams of fat and 92 grams of sugar.

7. Cold Stone Creamery Caramel Frappe

It might come as no surprise that an ice cream chain like Cold Stone has a highly caloric coffee drink. This frozen taste bud-blaster really is more like a dessert. Of its three flavors — coffee, caramel and mocha — the caramel version takes the cake batter. The Like It size (12 ounces) contains 470 calories (39 per ounce), 20 grams of fat and 59 of sugar.

6. Sonic Caramel Java Chiller Shake

You may be tempted to split the 32-ounce Caramel Java Chiller Shake next time you make a pit stop here. That's because it contains 1,310 calories (41 calories per ounce), 550 fat calories and 144 grams of sugar.

5. McCafe (McDonald’s) Chocolate Chip Frappe

You know by now that you should treat yourself to this chain's fries and burgers on rare occasions, but the same goes for some of its coffee drinks. Take the 12-ounce Chocolate Chip Frappe. At 42 calories per ounce (500 calories total), it's McCafe's most calorically dense drink, also containing 63 grams of sugar and 190 calories from fat.

4. Coffee Beanery Sugar-Free Caramelatte XL With Half & Half

Don't be fooled by the Sugar-Free Caramelatte XL With Half & Half. The 20-ounce version contains 868 calories (43 per ounce), 465 calories from fat and 39 grams of sugar. A better choice? The fat-free version. It contains just 390 calories.

3. Caribou Coffee Turtle Mocha Cooler

You'd have to walk at a speedy pace for a long time to burn off the 850 calories in the 20-ounce Turtle Mocha Cooler (43 calories per ounce). Order this drink and you're also getting 260 calories from fat and consuming 113 grams of sugar.

2. Cinnabon Cinnamon Roll Coffee Chillatta

Cooling off with a 24-ounce Cinnamon Roll Coffee Chillatta here will set you back 1,030 calories (43 per ounce), 390 calories from fat and 126 grams of sugar. You're better off opting for a MiniBon Roll: At 350 calories, 23 grams of sugar and 130 calories from fat, it's actually a healthier treat.

1. Winchell’s French Vanilla Caramel Cappuccino Chilla

Opt for a 20-ounce French Vanilla Caramel Cappuccino Chilla, and you'll ingest a whopping 127 grams of sugar — more than five times the amount the average person should be consuming a day. You'll be wondering if you had coffee or dessert after downing 1,040 calories (52 calories per ounce) including 300 calories from fat.
