Symptoms You May Experience During a Cleanse

While the human body is well-equipped to remove environmental toxins, bad bacteria, and viruses on its own, some people choose to undergo a body cleanse to rid themselves of toxins and assist the body in its natural regeneration process. Potential Symptoms During a Cleanse

As waste moves through, and then exists the body during a cleanse, you may begin to feel different. Headaches are often at the top of the symptoms list, followed closely by intestinal discomfort. But you may also experience dizziness or lightheadedness as your body rids itself of waste. Additional symptoms, from the book "Cellular Cleansing Made Easy" by Scott Ohlgren, are listed below.

Mood Symptoms: Irritation, general shifts in mood Bodily Reactions: Fatigue, headaches, cold and flu symptoms, increased or decreased menstruation, bad breath, fever and chills Skin Symptoms: Hives, dandruff, rashes, itchiness, redness Pain Symptoms: Backaches, joint pain, cramps, neck stiffness Secretion: Excess ear wax, mucous draining, and acne

Sleep disturbance is another symptom you may experience during a cleanse. One way to curb these symptoms is to drink lots of water and other fluids throughout your cleanse.
